The artist was born in Rotterdam in 1948 (Netherlands), where he graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts. His sculpture teachers were Gust Romijn and Huib Noorlander. He started his artist’s career as an independent graphic artist and illustrator, and since 2005 he has returned completely to sculpting.
His works are the result of constant artistic search, in which the woman and her dress are the key. The artist’s sculptures have their characteristic, easily recognizable style, which can be described as abstract realism or romantic surrealism, sometimes with a bit of humor.
He works alternately in his workshops in the Netherlands and France.
The artist exhibited at the Mohlmann Museum in Appingedam, as well as in Belgium, Dubai, United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. He took part in the Holland Art Expo in London.
