Valerio DeMarchi

The artist was born in 1941 in Italy.
He is an sculptor working in bronze using the traditional method of lost-wax casting. The basic theme of his work is a woman. Always presented naked, as a purely aesthetic reflection of absolute beauty.
His women take flexible poses that strengthen every aspect of their physicality.
The artist’s work is characterized by extraordinary attention to detail, precise modeling – especially of hands, feet and hair. His sculptures are patinated most often in brown, blue, and green and carefully polished, which contributes to the specific refraction of light on the wavy curves of the bodies.
The artist’s style is considered a rebirth of the classic figurative tradition, the direct tradition of ancient Greece, whose aesthetic canons have been reinterpreted in a modern way.
The artist’s works can be seen in many European galleries.
